1995 Land Rover Defender 3.9 Ltr V8. I'm pretty familiar with series 2 and 3 Land Rovers and I'm glad to say that the Defender 90
is a very different story. This is a fun and very capable truck. Far more practical than a series 3, the Defender can be comfortably driven
long distances at highway speeds and then be put to serious off-road work at trips end. 1995 was the last true Land Rover Defender 90, built
when the company belonged to Rover. There was no 1996 Defender, and the 97 Model was produced under the auspices of BMW which owned the company
by that time. The Defender 90 is no longer sold in North America, apparently due to the fact that trucks in its class now require driver and
passenger air bags and installation thereof would require a massive re-design.
This Defender 90 has 89,500 miles on the clock but really drives like a new car. And it doesn't feel like the Land Rovers I'm used to.
The 182 horsepower 3.9 liter V8 engine coupled with the 5 speed manual gearbox make it very responsive, the full time 4 wheel drive will take you
anywhere you want to go, and the power steering and 4 wheel disc brakes keep you on track. This one owner truck has always been garage parked when
not out playing and it has been meticulously maintained all it's life. It is being offered for sale fully serviced with a current New York State inspection.
we have spent 4 days working on cosmetics since these photos were taken.
Equipped with the optional rear seat the truck transports 4 adults comfortably. Two diamond plate locking aluminum cases mounted
on the wheel boxes provide very secure storage. The console installed locking radio compartment houses a 4 speaker Kenwood AM-FM-TAPE
radio connected to a 6 CD changer. It has 2 front mounted Hella driving lamps well as another rear mounted lamp.
The Premium soft top is like new and the car comes with second bikini top. The doors have sliding side-door windows.
The truck is equipped with a custom "safari cage" roll bar, a swing-away rear-mounted spare tire carrier, rear step bumper,
a brush bar, 5 spoke alloy wheels, clock, tachometer, and hitch receiver.
